- Work Table, 1795-1815 - The firm of Ernest LoNano -- active from 1912 into the 1980s -- was known as the premier re-upholsterers of antique American furniture. Museums from coast to coast sought the advice of three generations of LoNanos for accuracy in period upholstery fabrics. The company specialized in adapting historic fabrics for reuse. Here, LoNano employed a reproduction silk damask, now aged, for the elaborate storage basket.

- Round Sewing Table (Harriman House-Jamaica), 1890-1915 - In 1890, Jenny Young Chandler, 25 years old and recently widowed, began working for the <em>New York Herald</em>. As a photojournalist and feature writer, Chandler captured life in Brooklyn, New York, and vicinity. She also documented collections of private individuals and museums -- some of which were featured in magazine articles for collectors. By 1922, the time of her death, she had produced over 800 glass plate negatives.

Round Sewing Table (Harriman House-Jamaica), 1890-1915
In 1890, Jenny Young Chandler, 25 years old and recently widowed, began working for the New York Herald. As a photojournalist and feature writer, Chandler captured life in Brooklyn, New York, and vicinity. She also documented collections of private individuals and museums -- some of which were featured in magazine articles for collectors. By 1922, the time of her death, she had produced over 800 glass plate negatives.
