In 1936, news reached Edsel Ford that Yale University--which owned the New Haven, Connecticut, house--planned to tear down the structure. Edsel and his father stepped in and purchased it. They had the building moved to Greenfield Village--Henry Ford's historical outdoor museum in Dearborn, Michigan.
