Owl Night Lunch Wagon

Owl Night Lunch Wagon

Dating originally from the 1890s, the “Owl” was parked in downtown Detroit, near City Hall. It is believed to be the last remaining horse-drawn lunch wagon in America.

Henry Ford used to eat here after working long overnight shifts. When the wagon arrived to Greenfield Village in 1927, it was the sole refreshment stand for visitors and it held that title into the 1930s. Now there are other refreshment options but the “Owl” still serves up coffee, drinks, and snacks. Open May 27 – September 5, 9:30am – 2pm
