Throughout Civic Season, we reflect on the unity of our nation's newest federal holiday, Juneteenth, with its oldest, the Fourth of July. In 2026, as we mark 250 years of American history, we also recognize the power of communities coming together to create innovative solutions that expanded independence, advanced voting rights and drove transformative movements that continue to shape our future.

Celebrate Juneteenth: Liberation and Legacy
Fri, June 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Located in the Museum Plaza
Author Alliah L. Agostini's books The Juneteenth Story and The Juneteenth Cookbook will be brought to life through family-friendly activities directly inspired by her work. Join us as we celebrate Juneteenth with games, crafts and music from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and live book readings with Alliah L. Agostini at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Plus, don't miss the opportunity to sample a beverage from her cookbook, "Freedom Fizz," while supplies last.
The Juneteenth Story and The Juneteenth Cookbook will be available for purchase in our retail store, Genius at Play.

250 Years of American Innovation Tour
Mon-Fri at 1 p.m., begins at the Cornerstone in the Museum Plaza
Debuting for Civic Season, from the foundational Declaration of Independence to modern-day advancements, this guided tour will walk you through 250 years of American history, spotlighting innovation and the transformations we have been through as a nation.
Note: On June 19 the tour will begin at 2 p.m.
Experiment with History: Cast Your Vote!
Located near With Liberty & Justice for All
Learn about the importance of voting and make your voice heard in our mock election for the next mayor of the Lionel Model Train display from 10 a.m.-noon daily.
Recipe Swap
Located near Agriculture and the Kitchen display
In honor of America's Potluck recognized on July 5, we invite you to join our interactive opportunity to share your favorite recipes and collect new recipes to try at home with family and friends. Recipe highlights from our collections will explore foodways through the years in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary and will include delectable selections like Ford Home's Centennial Cake, the Jackson Home's Cabbage Recipe and more.
Wish Wall
Located in With Liberty and Justice for All
Using the prompt "What is your wish for America's future?" write your own wish for America on its 250th anniversary. Wishes will be on display throughout Civic Season.

This experience is part of The Henry Ford's commemoration of the country's 250th anniversary. Throughout 2026, you'll find special programming, new exhibitions and exciting events across our 250-acre campus that spotlight the history of the United States. This yearlong series explores how creativity and ingenuity have sparked change across centuries of American life, and how they continue to shape the future we all share. From revolutionary inventions to grassroots movements, stories of transformation will unfold across Greenfield Village, Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, Giant Screen Experience and Ford Rouge Factory Tour.
