Ira Wilson and his sons Charles and Asa founded the Ira Wilson & Sons Dairy Company in 1930. It became a successful enterprise with stores throughout southeast Michigan. The dairy continued until 1981 when Melody Farms, another prominent Michigan dairy, acquired the company.
