"Aircruiser" Wagon, 1935-1940
01
Artifact Overview
Toy manufacturers began designing wagons specifically for children in the 19th and 20th centuries. Probably the most popular of these was the coasting wagon -- a simple, shallow, open-bed wagon with a long handle that steered the front wheels. Children could haul objects or each other in these wagons, or sit inside and steer as they coasted down hills.
