Chase's Ice Cream Carton, 1923-1930
01
Artifact Overview
Before pre-packaged ice cream became common, some ice cream manufacturers produced their own cartons for customers to take home their freshly made ice cream from drug stores or ice cream parlors. Usually produced in quarts or pints, these cartons promised to be clean and hygienic and their wax-coated cardboard offered some insulation.
