After World War II, highways were flooded with family vacationers out to enjoy their new cars and all that America had to offer. Some families wanted to view the country's scenic beauty; others headed for places of historic importance. This 1947 pennant depicts the Jennie Wade House in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Wade was the only civilian killed during the Civil War's Battle of Gettysburg.
