Henry Ford II smiled after Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon won the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Ford GT40 Mark II. After two disappointing years at the French endurance race in which Ford cars did not even finish, 1966 brought a thrilling victory -- made even sweeter by the fact that Fords took second and third places too.
