Ford Motor Company promised year-round "summer comfort in your car" for drivers who purchased one of its two available heaters. The hot water unit circulated water from the engine's radiator, while the hot air unit used heat from the engine's exhaust manifold. Either heater was an extra-cost option priced at $18.75 for the 1939 model year.
