This ornament showcases many traditional elements of Las Posadas – a nine-day celebration in December commemorating Mary and Joseph's search for shelter in Bethlehem. Participants go from door to door, often carrying candles and asking for entry. After many attempts, they eventually are welcomed in. This ornament also features poinsettias – native Mexican plants synonymous with the holiday season.
