Artifact Overview

Dave Friedman captured and preserved auto racing history through his photography and memorabilia. His collection documents key races, cars, drivers, and teams. This newsletter promoted the inaugural Can-Am series racing season in 1966. Races were held in Canada and the United States -- hence the name -- and design restrictions were few. British driver John Surtees won that first season's championship.
