The League of Struggle for Negro Rights, an early civil rights organization, published this pamphlet in 1933. In it the organization listed a 12-point program to obtain equal rights, proposed a Bill of Rights for the Negro People, and published the organization's constitution and draft by-laws. Langston Hughes, poet, playwright, and social activist, headed the organization.
