- Letters from Frank Campsall to Sidney Houghton and W.C. Anderson regarding Choosing Furniture for Fair Lane, July 1919 - Sidney Houghton, a London-based interior designer, met Henry Ford during World War I. Houghton worked on Ford's "Eagle Boats," supplied to the U.S. and British Navies. Following the War, Henry and Clara Ford commissioned Houghton to create a variety of interiors for their home and other projects. This letter references work proposed for Fair Lane, the Fords' home in Dearborn, Michigan.

Sidney Houghton, a London-based interior designer, met Henry Ford during World War I. Houghton worked on Ford's "Eagle Boats," supplied to the U.S. and British Navies. Following the War, Henry and Clara Ford commissioned Houghton to create a variety of interiors for their home and other projects. This letter references work proposed for Fair Lane, the Fords' home in Dearborn, Michigan.

- Houghton Studio Catalog, "Houghtons...Design & Manufacture of Decoration, Furniture, Etc.," 1925-1928 - London-based interior designer Sidney Houghton was commissioned by Henry Ford for several projects. This catalog contains samples of Houghton's work. It features designs for the <em>Sialia</em> yacht, the <em>Fair Lane</em> private railcar, Wayside Inn, and Henry Ford's and Edsel Ford's offices in the Ford Engineering Laboratory. - Easy Chair, Made 1923, Used by Henry Ford at the Ford Motor Company Engineering Laboratory - Sidney Houghton, a high-end interior designer based in London, was commissioned by Henry Ford for a number of projects in the 1920s. In 1924, Houghton furnished Henry and Edsel Ford's personal offices in the newly completed Ford Engineering Laboratory. Houghton designed and fabricated everything for the offices -- from furniture to lighting to textiles -- at his workshops in England.
