- Telegram from Austin Curtis, Jr. to Henry Ford, January 6, 1943 - Henry Ford and conservationist George Washington Carver had been close friends beginning in the late 1930s. When Carver died in January 1943, Carver's assistant Austin Curtis, Jr. sent a telegram from Tuskegee, Alabama, where Carver had worked and taught since 1896, to Henry Ford in Dearborn. Ford sent flowers to the funeral and released a statement appreciating Carver's life and achievements.

Henry Ford and conservationist George Washington Carver had been close friends beginning in the late 1930s. - Telegram from Edsel Ford to Senator Vandenberg on the Isle Royale National Park Commission, July 1, 1931 - Congress authorized the creation of Isle Royale National Park in 1931. In order to establish the park, the Governor of Michigan appointed the Isle Royale National Park Commission, which included Edsel Ford, to handle land acquisition. By 1940, the Commission had acquired a majority of the island for the state who then transferred it over to the National Park Service.

The carefree troupes from Bradford, Illinois, roamed the United States and Canada in the self-painted silver "T". After driving to Dearborn, Michigan, to wish Henry Ford a happy birthday in 1938, the group kept in touch with the famed automaker.
