- RFD Magazine, Issue #3, Spring 1975 - Stewart Scofield, Carl Wittman, and Allen Troxler launched the journal "RFD: A Country Journal for Gay Men Everywhere" in 1974. First published in Grinnell, Iowa, the journal is still published today.

He won 13 climbs over 30 years, from 1956 to 1986. During the 1963 contest, Unser raced up the twisting 12.42-mile course in 12 minutes, 30.6 seconds -- an average speed of nearly 60 miles per hour.
