- Bell from Sidewheeler Steamboat, "Tashmoo," 1900 - Launched on December 30, 1899, the sidewheeler <em>Tashmoo</em> spent its career carrying passengers between Detroit and Port Huron, Michigan. With a 2,500-horsepower triple-expansion steam engine, <em>Tashmoo</em> was capable of 23 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest passenger steamers on the Great Lakes. <em>Tashmoo</em> was scrapped after being damaged by a submerged rock in 1936.

Bell from Sidewheeler Steamboat, "Tashmoo," 1900
Launched on December 30, 1899, the sidewheeler Tashmoo spent its career carrying passengers between Detroit and Port Huron, Michigan. With a 2,500-horsepower triple-expansion steam engine, Tashmoo was capable of 23 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest passenger steamers on the Great Lakes.
