Instructions from a Covered Wagon Lamp Kit, 1959
- A Party of Emigrants to California, Crossing the Plains, 1852 - Soon after the Mexican-American War ended in 1848, the newly acquired territory of California became the destination of hundreds of thousands of Americans, especially after gold was discovered at Sutter's Mill outside Sacramento. The California Gold Rush pulled Americans across the continent. This wood engraving is one of the few known portrayals of the migrations created at that time.

- Conestoga Wagon in Henry Ford Museum, circa 1941 - Irving Bacon, a Ford Motor Company employee and Henry Ford's personal artist, created pen-and-ink drawings to illustrate guidebooks for the Edison Institute Museum and Greenfield Village (now The Henry Ford) when they officially opened to the public in 1933. An illustrated souvenir guidebook helped visitors navigate the exhibits and grounds. Ford also used these drawings in other company publications.

This 1928 catalog features its new steel dining car, the "Monarch," along with its other models and advice to would-be operators.

Drivers navigated heavy, product-laden wagons hitched to teams of mules or oxen over mountain passes and across lonely, open expanses to deliver their cargo. This image show wagons loaded with goods on Main Street in Buffalo, Wyoming.

- "Transportation around the World" Mural in the Public Lounge of the Ford Rotunda, 1952-1953 - As part of its fiftieth anniversary celebration in 1953, Ford Motor Company refurbished the Rotunda--an exhibit area and hospitality center for Ford's Rouge factory tours. The company commissioned Cincinnati artist Charley Harper to design a mural honoring the Model T. Visitors could view the completed mural, titled <em>Transportation around the World</em>, in the Rotunda's public lounge.
