- Eleanor Ford, Thomas Sato, Henry Ford, Edsel Ford and Clara Ford on a "Vagabonds" Camping Trip, Maryland, 1921 - Known as the Vagabonds, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs embarked on numerous camping trips between 1916 and 1924. In 1921, the Vagabonds -- minus Burroughs who had passed earlier that year -- welcomed their families along for a special camping trip with President Warren G. Harding. Here, the Ford family takes in the jovial camp atmosphere.
