- Trade Card for Furniture and Carpet Store, Rudden's Instalment House, 1870-1900 - In the last third of the nineteenth century, an unprecedented variety of consumer goods and services flooded the American market. Advertisers, armed with new methods of color printing, bombarded potential customers with trade cards. Americans enjoyed and often saved the vibrant little advertisements found in product packages or distributed by local merchants. Many survive as historical records of commercialism in the United States.

Trade Card for Furniture and Carpet Store, Rudden's Instalment House, 1870-1900
In the last third of the nineteenth century, an unprecedented variety of consumer goods and services flooded the American market. Advertisers, armed with new methods of color printing, bombarded potential customers with trade cards. Americans enjoyed and often saved the vibrant little advertisements found in product packages or distributed by local merchants. Many survive as historical records of commercialism in the United States.
- Lincoln Continental Presidential Limousine Customization, Testing Adjustable Hydraulic Seat, 1961 - The Hess & Eisenhardt Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, transformed a stock 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible into the presidential limousine. Among the special modifications was a hydraulic lift installed on the rear seat. At the touch of a button, the president could raise the seat 10-1/2 inches to make himself and his passengers more visible to crowds watching the limousine pass.

This photograph documents the re-upholstery process on The Henry Ford's furniture by the firm.

- Raymond Massey Viewing the Abraham Lincoln Chair, Then Exhibited in Greenfield Village, November 1943 - Actor Raymond Massey portrayed Abraham Lincoln in "Abe Lincoln in Illinois" first as a Broadway play in 1938-39, followed by a 1940 film. The story which traces Lincoln's early life through the 1860 election was written by noted playwright Robert Sherwood, and won a Pulitzer Prize in 1939. In late 1943, Massey toured the Logan County Courthouse where this photograph was taken.
