- Death Mask of Nikola Tesla on Pedestal, 1943 - Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) is one of the greatest figures in the history of electrical power and telecommunications. His alternating current induction motor and pioneering work with polyphase electricity were fundamental to the development of today's electric power grid systems. This death mask, made of electroplated copper, was created at the request of Hugo Gernsback -- a publisher, writer, and friend of Tesla.

- Pedestal of "Listening Device" for Submarines, Made by Ford Motor Company for Use on Eagle Boats, June 1918 - Stealthy attacks from German submarines posed a serious threat to shipping during World War I. With support from the U.S. Navy, Thomas Edison devoted considerable time and effort to developing a reliable method of detecting submerged submarines, either by sound or magnetic field. The first Ford-built Eagle anti-submarine patrol boats were equipped with Edison's detection devices.
