- Vegetable Dish, 1869-1871 - The Boston Silver Glass Company was established in East Cambridge, Massachusetts, in about 1857. Starting in 1869, the company produced pressed glass tableware in its "beaded grape medallion" pattern. The inexpensive glassware came in various forms: plates, dishes, bowls, compotes, goblets, and pitchers, among others. The company operated until about 1871.

Marquis Pattern Vegetable Dish Used by the Jackson Family, Selma, Alabama
- Set of Dishes, circa 1890 - George Newhall of San Francisco, California, used these dishes for picnics and outings. They were packed in his fancy "Park Drag" carriage. Well-to-do gentlemen like Newhall drove carriages like these to social events like horse races. There they could enjoy an excellent view from their high seat atop the vehicle while servants served them food and drinks from inside.
