The plastic face shield protected drivers from wind and debris, but would have provided only marginal protection in the event of an engine explosion.

Pruett, together with Memo Rojas and Marino Franchitti, won the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2014 driving a Riley Mk. XXVI with a Ford V-6 engine. It was the first Ford-powered victory at Sebring in 45 years.
