Chicago, Iowa & Nebraska Rail Road Time Table, 1860

Summary

The Chicago, Iowa & Nebraska Railroad built the first track in Iowa, headed west from Clinton, on the Mississippi River, toward the Missouri River. It became an important link in the First Transcontinental Railroad when that was completed in 1869. The CI&N was merged into the Chicago & North Western which, in turn, became a part of Union Pacific in 1995.
