The American Automobile Association (AAA) was formed in 1902 to lobby for drivers' rights and promote safe vehicles and roads. As Americans' passion for driving grew, the organization expanded its services to include roadside assistance and trip planning. By the mid-1960s, eleven million members had joined. The AAA Michigan affiliate promoted the services available to its members in this brochure from about 1965.
