Artifact Overview

This kit claimed to help children learn how to dress in all kinds of weather. Colorforms originated in 1951, when art students -- married couple Harry and Patricia Kislevitz -- experimented with some flexible vinyl a friend had given them, leading to the creation of colorful vinyl shapes and eventually to licensed characters in vinyl, mounted on sheets of laminated paperboard.
