In 1930, community boosters of Dixon, Illinois planned parades, a carnival and other events to celebrate the city's centennial. Included in the festivities were two dedications -- the unveiling of a statue of Abraham Lincoln and the opening of the city's new municipal airport. This souvenir badge commemorates the centennial and the celebration's major events.
