Artifact Overview

Maps provided cyclists with routes to and from their touring destinations. This 1895 road map led the cyclist from Manhattan to Yonkers to Tarrytown, New York, and back again. More importantly it led the cyclist out of the hustle and bustle of the city and into the quietness and open air of the countryside.
