Ford Motor Company unveiled the 1965 Mustang on April 17, 1964, at the New York World's Fair. The exciting new car was a highlight of the Ford Pavilion, where the automaker displayed its latest models. Martin Luther King, Jr., Walt Disney and Charlton Heston were among the millions of visitors who streamed through the pavilion before the fair closed in 1965.
