In 1992, Lyn St. James became only the second woman to compete in the Indianapolis 500. This letter from Dan and Evi Gurney congratulated St. James on qualifying for the race with a speed of 220.150 mph. Mr. Gurney had competed at Indy many times as as a driver and as owner of the All American Racers team.
