Easy Bake Oven, 1964

Summary

The Easy Bake Oven really worked! After Kenner introduced this popular toy in 1963, baking became more than just imaginary play for generations of girls. Using small baking mixes -- and heat supplied by two ordinary 100-watt light bulbs -- girls could safely turn out tiny versions of cakes, cookies, brownies, and pies, just like Mom's. With less parental supervision required.
