Mimi Vandermolen studied design at Ontario College of Art and joined Ford Motor Company in 1970. She led the team that designed the ergonomic interior for the award-winning 1986 Ford Taurus, and she became Design Executive for Ford's small cars in 1987. Vandermolen later headed interior and exterior design efforts for the 1993 Ford Probe.
