From Blobs to Wow! Visiting Artists Transform Molten Glass into Stunning Art

In 2017, staff from across departments developed the idea of an artist-in-residence program, bringing studio glass artists to work onsite in the Greenfield Village Glass Shop. Over the course of five days, visiting artists would collaborate with THF’s glassblowers, sharing techniques and styles while creating new, original works.
