Beaker, 1822-1871

Beakers are tapered drinking vessels without a handle that often have a flared mouth or base. Pewter examples from the late 18th and 19th centuries could be found in the homes of Americans of modest means. They were also used in taverns and inns or in churches where they served as communion cups.
