Artifact Overview

Hulbert Harrington Warner, a wealthy fire- and burglar-proof safe manufacturer, purchased various medicinal formulas in the late 1800s and turned them into a multi-million-dollar patent medicine business. He sold his concoctions worldwide. Warner advertised his products as "safe" -- alluding to his original business enterprise -- though few, if any, of his cures provided medical benefit.
