Trade Card for The Huron Hotel, Ypsilanti, Michigan, 1923
01
Artifact Overview
Most Ypsilanti hotels were rundown by 1920, when local citizens were asked to contribute funds to a new hotel. The Huron Hotel, open January 1, 1923, elicited tremendous public interest and instilled great civic pride. This trade card advertises Ypsilanti's one hundredth anniversary, with a horse-drawn stagecoach that would stop in front of the "new civic-built hotel."
