Washington License Plates from Expo '74
01
Artifact Overview
States have required automobiles to have registration or license plates since the early 1900s. State licensing offices issued new plates yearly or, in some instances, created validation tabs or stickers that attached to the old, existing plate. This Washington State plate contains a tab celebrating Expo '74 -- the World's Fair held in Spokane.
