This toy Zeppelin was inspired by Germany's Graf Zeppelin, an airship that carried passengers between Europe and North and South America from 1928 to 1937. Graf Zeppelin was named for Ferdinand von Zeppelin, the German count who built the first successful rigid airship in 1900.
