Durant Star Six Automobile Emblem, circa 1925

01

Artifact Overview

This round Star Six emblem incorporates the shield and winged dragon motif of its parent company, Durant Motors. The line of low-priced Star vehicles was assembled during the 1920s to compete with other similar vehicles like Ford's Model T. The company introduced the vehicle with four cylinders in 1922. Four years later a six-cylinder engine came on line.
