Chevrolet introduced a reliable and affordable six-cylinder engine in its models for 1929. The new engine was advertised as "a six for the price of a four," and happy customers made Chevrolet the top-selling brand in the early 1930s. Chevy's inline six also generated buzz at automobile expositions, making it "Queen of the Shows."
