Electric appliance manufacturer National Presto Industries, Inc., became known for innovative products that anticipated and responded to evolving consumer needs. By the 1970s, the company produced a wide range of kitchen, personal grooming, and other home appliances. Presto contracted Mel Boldt and Associates to design many of its distinctive products, including this faux wood humidifier.
