01

Artifact Overview

Americans love to send -- and receive -- Christmas cards. In the late 1800s, Americans could purchase colorful commercially designed greeting cards to send to family and friends. The English firm of Hildesheimer and Faulkner created this artistic holiday greeting card complete with silk fringe in the last decades of the 1800s.
