Russian-born artist and illustrator Feodor Rojankovsky (1891-1970) is best known as a children's book illustrator. His first children's book for a Western publisher came out in 1931 while living in Europe. He emigrated to the United States ten years later. Rojankovsky won the Caldecott Medal for the artist of the most distinguished children's book from 1956. He created this Christmas card design around 1950.
