The 1939-1940 Golden Gate International Exposition -- noted here as the California World's Fair on San Francisco Bay -- showcased the nations of the Pacific Rim and celebrated the completion of the Golden Gate and Oakland Bay Bridges. Millions of fairgoers flocked to the man-made Treasure Island to visit the fair. Many returned home with souvenirs, like this packet of 18 fold-out postcard images.
