Artifact Overview

World's fairs -- traditionally focused on futuristic themes -- came down to earth with Expo '74. "Preserve the Environment" was the theme. Held in Spokane, Washington, along the city's transformed riverfront, the fair attracted over five million visitors. The fair's logo representing air, water and land (among other meanings) could be found on a variety of promotional and souvenir items.
