Artifact Overview

Henry Ford, a watch enthusiast, purchased Sir John Bennett's clock, watch and jewelry store in 1928. The building stood five stories in London, England, but was reassembled into a two-story structure to better fit the scale of Ford's Greenfield Village. In 1972, Lord Mountbatten toured the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. One stop included the transplanted and modified London building.
