01
Artifact Overview
During World War II, patriotic symbols and images were found on a variety of common everyday items -- even jigsaw puzzles. When completed, this "Victory picture puzzle" depicts American-made planes and jeeps "on the job" defeating the German army. Several of the interlocking pieces even resemble planes, ships, and weapons used to beat the enemy.
