THF151842 / Button Promoting New Orleans as the Site for the 1915 Panama Exposition
01

Artifact Overview

San Francisco, recently recovered from a devastating 1906 earthquake, was ultimately proclaimed the site of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Until the official announcement in 1911, many hopeful cities had been in the running. This button promoted New Orleans, a primary contender, as "the logical point" for the 1915 fair.
