Artifact Overview

Thomas Edison built this laboratory building at his winter home in Ft. Myers, Florida. In 1929 Henry Ford moved it to his new museum, Greenfield Village. In 1930 he used the Ft. Myers building for his own latest project. Ford put a small team of engineers in the lab and directed them in designing the new Ford V-8 engine.
