George Lucas's science fiction classics, the original Star Wars trilogy of movies, captured the imaginations of adults and children alike. Toy manufacturers eagerly sought the right to sell licensed toys based on these movies. Action figures and toys based on the film, like this land speeder, defined childhood for many during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
